We, at ARDAA are extremely sad to hear about the death of Suldan Mohamed Nour Gelle (Suldan Gurey) who died in Borama of Awdal Region on October 7, 2009. We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, relatives and  all people in  the Adal regions,  - Somaliland , Jigjiga ,Shinnile , Djibouti aswell as  all  Adal communiteis in Diaspora at large of Late Suldan Mohamed Nour Gelle( Suldan Gurey) Late Suldan Mohamed Nour Gelle was more than just a wonderful person; he was always so kind and considerate to his people that we always welcomed seeing him at every opportunity.  We know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him. He proudly served his community and country to the best of his ability. Late Suldan Mohamed Nour Gelle will always remain in our hearts throughout the years to come.

ARDAA President Ibrahim A. Absiye said, “Late Suldan Mohamed Nour Gelle was one of the distinguished Suldan in this and last century who had dedicated his efforts in the service of his people and country”. 

ARDAA Vice President for Social Development Mohamoud Abdillahi Iman stated, “We have received the death of Suldan Mohamed Nour Gelle with sorrow and sadness. He was a unique and wise leader who had dedicated his efforts and time for the service of his people and his country. He will remain a good example of leadership, reconciliation, and solidarity. “

ARDAA Vice President for Finance Mohamed Omar Gadhweyneh asserted, “Late Suldan Mohamed Nour Gelle was a man of great vision and leadership who inspired his countrymen for a more than quarter of a century as a great Suldan. He led his people through a period of unparalleled situations. He was a good friend of all neighboured Beelaha of Somaliland, Djibouti and Ethiopia.”
